WHERE WE BEGAN
A lamp, a workbench, a promise.
DIYAM takes its name from the diya — the small lamp that holds a steady flame. Our founder's grandmother kept one burning on her workbench in Jaipur, where she repaired silver anklets for three generations of neighbours who trusted no one else with them.
Her grandchildren grew up under that lamp — passing her the fine files, learning that silver isn't a lesser metal. It's a listening one. It takes the shape of a life: warming to skin, softening at the edges people touch most.
In 2019, two of those grandchildren — a designer and a metallurgist — turned the family bench into a house. Not to make silver precious. To prove it always was.
“Silver isn't a lesser metal. It's a listening one.”
— from our founder's notebook, 2019

WHAT WE BELIEVE
Silver, made to live in.
We design for the days you don't plan — the commute, the wedding you almost skipped, the Sunday that turned into something. Every DIYAM piece is 925 sterling, BIS hallmarked, and finished with our anti-tarnish coat, because jewellery you're afraid to wear isn't jewellery. It's storage.
We're still a family at a bench. The bench is just longer now.
