THE CARE RITUAL

Loved silver lasts longest.

Silver is a living metal — it responds to air, to skin, to the drawer you keep it in. A little ritual keeps it bright: wear it often, wipe it gently, and let it rest somewhere dry.

Everything below takes less time than making chai. Your silver will repay every minute.

Three minutes a month. That's the whole ritual.

THE SHORT VERSION

Do this. Skip that.

Always

  • Wear it often — skin oils keep sterling naturally bright.

  • Put jewellery on last — after perfume, lotion, and hairspray have dried.

  • Wipe with the DIYAM cloth after wearing — ten seconds, big difference.

  • Store pieces separately — each in its own pouch, clasps closed.

  • Keep the silica pouch — it drinks the moisture so your silver doesn't.

Never

  • No pools, no hot springs — chlorine and sulphur are silver's rivals.

  • No toothpaste scrubbing — it's sandpaper in disguise.

  • No bathroom storage — steam is slow tarnish.

  • No rubber bands or newspaper nearby — both breathe sulphur.

  • No harsh dips for stone-set pieces — bezels don't like chemistry experiments.

THE LONG VERSION

Every question, unhurried.
